Avanade Expands India Operations as Microsoft-Based AI, Cloud Solutions take off

Avanade, which offers Microsoft-focused digital, cloud, and AI services, will now expand its operations in India, marking a major step in its Asia-Pacific (APAC) growth strategy.

The move comes amid surging demand for enterprise-grade cloud modernisation, AI-enabled transformation, and secure digital solutions across India’s rapidly advancing digital economy.

The announcement coincided with Avanade’s participation in the Microsoft AI Tour across APAC. During the India stop, Bhavya Kapoor, president of Avanade Asia Pacific, joined Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella for a roundtable discussion on India’s accelerating AI landscape and the role of trusted partners in enabling responsible innovation.

“The scale of opportunity in India is immense,” Kapoor said. “This expansion reflects Avanade’s commitment to partnering with Indian organisations to turn AI and cloud potential into production-scale solutions.”

India’s growing appetite for cloud, data, and AI technologies has pushed organisations, especially in the mid-market, to seek partners that have proven transformation capabilities.

Avanade’s expansion follows its acquisition of digital transformation solutions provider Total eBiz Solutions earlier this year, giving the company an established presence in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi, anchoring its India footprint.

Puneet Chandok, president of Microsoft India and South Asia, emphasised the importance of strong partner ecosystems.

“India’s digital economy is advancing at a remarkable speed, driven by strong demand for cloud, data, and AI solutions across industries. Partners play an important role in helping organisations adopt these technologies responsibly and at scale,” Chandok added.

Highlighting the strategic alignment with Accenture, Saurabh Kumar Sahu, MD and lead for India Business at Accenture, said, “With Avanade, we are bringing advanced capabilities to accelerate and scale AI-led reinvention, unlocking new sources of value for our clients.”

Avanade’s entry into India strengthens its collaboration with Microsoft and Accenture, with a shared goal of accelerating innovation, enhancing security resilience, and enabling enterprise-wide AI transformation in one of the world’s fastest-growing digital markets.
